The Keshet Chaim Dance Ensemble,
("Rainbow of Life") (USA)
is an American-Israeli contemporary dance troupe, celebrating the spirit of Judaism ad Israeli culture throughout the world. The group's repertoire covers a vast span of history, from the time of Solomon and Sheba to the present. The company began in 1983 and is presently the major professional group of Israeli folk dancers in the United States.
The ensemble has represented Los Angeles several times at the Karmiel Festival in Israel, to great acclaim, performed at the 1984 Olympics Celebration, and toured all around America and Mexico.
In 1998 "Keshet Chaim" premiered their most recent work "Jerusalem Rhythms". The work combines modern technique with tribal and folk movement.
