Eva Ben-Zvi
soprano (Israel)


      Born in Kaunas, Lithuania, she completed her vocal training at the Tel-Aviv Rubin Academy, Israel and at the Staatliche Hochschule fur Musik in Detmold, Germany. She also holds a Master's degree in piano studies. Mrs. Ben-Zvi performs extensively as a soloist with various symphony orchestras as well as chamber music ensembles in Israel, France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Lithuania and Russia. She was the first Israeli citizen to perform at the Kremlin, in a performance dedicated to the 850th Anniversary of Moscow. Mrs. Ben-Zvi has recorded 5 CD's; among them is Gregory Fried's mono-opera "The Diary of Anne Frank" recorded with the orchestra of the Bolshoi Theatre (conductor Andrew Tchistyakov). This CD was highly appraised by the "Opera International Magazine" in Paris 1992). She performed in Tchaikovsky hall with a Chamber orchestra of Russia (conductor Konstantin Orbelyan). Eva Ben-Zvi currently teaches singing at the Bar-Ilan University, Israel.
