IRINA EDUARDOVNA GORYUNOVA
Merited art worker of Russia.
Born 1964, Tashkent.


      In 1987 she graduated the director’s department of musical theatre faculty of the Russian Academy of theatrical art (GITIS). In 1990 she finished a post-graduate course. In 1992 she maintained the Bachelor's Thesis in Sankt-Petersburg State Conservatory by professions " Theatrical and musical arts ": opera stage-managing department.
      Irina worked in Moscow State operetta theatre as a director; in the Russian Academy of theatrical art.
      Since 1992 till 1998 I. Goryunova worked in publication of the Administration of the President of Russian Federation, in the newspaper " The Russian News " («Rossiyskie vesti»); an editor of the department of art and humanitarian problems, a member of the editorial board, chief- editor of the newspaper of the independent intelligentsia "Vekhi".
      In 1996 for her merits in the field of publishing by the president's of the Russian Federation Decree I. Goryunova was awarded a medal of the order " For the Merits for the Fatherland" II cat; in 1997 a medal " In Memory of the 850th Anniversary of Moscow ". A member of the Journalists's Union. In May 2001 she was awarded the honorary title of «Merited art worker of Russia».
      Irina Goryunova is one of the organizers, Deputy General Director, Chief director of The Moscow International S. Mykhoels Arts Festival, held under the patronage of the President of Russia.
      She's the author of the script and the director of the opening of the 1st Festival "World's premieres " in the GABT, closing of The Festival - the performance - concert "Candles on the snow " in the GZKZ "Russia" (1998), the opening of the II Festival - "To Russia with love " in the Olympic Sports Complex in 1999, which was transmitted on the TV Center.
      In March - May 2000 I. Goryunova realized the staging of three theatrical gala - concerts " We're again together " in Lincoln Center ( New York, the USA ) and in the Congress Hall (Jerusalem, Israel) and in the GZKZ "Russia", where the Gala - concert was held ("We're again together"), dedicated to the International Veteran's Meeting. For the preparatory work and the realization of the project the author and the director Irina Goryunova got a special gratitude from the Organizing Committee of the celebration of the 55th Anniversary of the Great Victory.
      Irina Goryunova - is the script writer and the stage manager of the Opening Ceremony of the III-d Moscow International S. Mykhoels Arts Festival in the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia and the Closing of the Festival in the GZKZ "Russia" ( September 2000 ), which were transmitted on the RTR.
      Since August 1997 - Irina has been the Deputy General Director- the Artistic Director of the International S. Mykhoels Cultural Center and Moscow International S. Mykhoels Arts Festival.
